Menopause is still “in the shadows”

This Guardian article by Eleanor Mills resonated with me: “Menopause is having a moment but for many women it’s still in the shadows.

These days, I often hear women I know say “everyone is talking about menopause now.” However, the same women and others also tell me countless stories about how they know more about menopause and related subjects than their physicians, employers, and governments.

It might seem like talk of menopause is everywhere at the moment, but I think that’s just because any discussion at all about it stands in such stark contrast to the previous approach, which was silence.
