Resources

Here are some of my personal favorite resources on menopause, mental health, or both.

Books

The Menopause: The Essential Guide to Managing Your Health in Mid-Life

by Dr. Deirdre Lundy

This one is my “menopause Bible.” It came out in February 2023, so it contains very up-to-date research. Written in a down-to-earth, conversational tone, this book is organized in such a way that it’s easy to find the specific topics you’re looking for. This is the first book I recommend to friends and family who are looking for resources.

The XX Brain: The Groundbreaking Science Empowering Women to Prevent Dementia

by Dr. Lisa Mosconi

I first learned about Dr. Mosconi while researching dementia on YouTube, which led me to her TedTalk, “How Menopause Affects the Brain.” This brilliant book is packed with research and valuable information about all the ways in which changing hormones impact our brains and so many aspects of our health.
